Harlequins Foundation staff work with each individual to develop a personalised education programme that can include a range of different enrichment activities alongside functions skills qualification in both English and Maths.
Following the successful completion of the programme The Foundation will work with each young person to identify and secure their sustained participation in additional appropriate education, training or employment including progression opportunities into FE provision, traineeships, apprenticeships and employment.
“We’re excited to be able to increase our current education offer in order to support more young people, between the ages of 16-19, from Richmond and Kingston, currently not in education, employment or training. Our programme, that offers a range of qualifications including functional skills in both English and Maths is designed to support young people to re-engage with education in a supportive environment at their own pace before progressing into further education, traineeships, apprenticeships or employment.” – Education Officer Mark Kilgallon.
