Brighter Futures Local Community Grants Programme

In August 2017, the Harlequins Foundation is launching a new and exciting grants programme for local community organisations under its Sustainable Communities pillar.

The Brighter Futures Local Community Grants Programme will celebrate the amazing organisations and individuals who help to ensure our communities are happy, healthy and resilient.

How it works:

Local community organisations from the Boroughs of Richmond Upon Thames, Hounslow and Guilford (Surrey Sports Park) can apply for a grant of between £500 and £3,000 to support their work within the local community during the next 12 months.

The focus of the charity, and / or the specific project you are applying for will need to be in line with the Harlequins Foundation’s aim of building brighter futures as well as the vision for the Sustainable Communities pillar; ensuring our local communities are happy, healthy and resilient.

Applicants can also request in-kind / other support (raffle prizes, skills / non-skills based volunteering which the Harlequins Foundation will try and match from volunteers).

Applications will be accepted between Friday 1st September and Monday 30th October 2017. The applications will be reviewed by the Harlequins Foundation grants committee, against the criteria outlined in the application, and successful applicants will be contacted by Friday 10th November.

The application form will be available for download here shortly. For further information, or to answer any questions, please contact .

Charitable and in-kind donations

The Harlequins Foundation has a limited number of signed balls and shirts that it can donate each season. Due to the number of requests we receive we are only able to donate these items in line with this policy and on a first come first served basis.

Other fundraising opportunities such as bucket collections are limited to our partner charities. Click here for more information.
